How to measure yourself

Use a soft measuring tape and wear light clothing. Keep the tape snug but not tight, and ask someone to help for the most accurate result.

Chest / bust: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape level under your arms.
Waist (drop waist): Measure just below your natural waistline, where you would like your lehenga or bottom to sit.
Hip: Stand with feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips.
Armhole: Measure around the top of your arm, from the shoulder point down under the armpit and back.
Shoulder: Measure across your back from the edge of one shoulder to the other.
Height: Measure from the top of your head to the floor while wearing the heels you plan to wear with the outfit.

Leave enough length in the open pallu to display the cascading lines. Small earrings and a compact bag let the vertical decoration remain the centre of attention. A tailored blouse with a restrained neckline can balance the detailed drape.

The supplier lists heavy embroidery with beads and stone work, and describes the embellishment as resham, zari and sequin embroidery. This is a regular saree requiring draping, not a pre-draped or ready-to-wear garment. The saree measures 5.5 metres, with a separate 0.80-metre blouse fabric piece. The blouse material is supplied unstitched for tailoring, not as the finished blouse worn by the model. Discuss neckline, sleeve length and fit with your tailor before cutting it. Dry clean as advised to care for the decorated fabric. The catalogue lists dispatch at 7 working days, separate from transit time; this is not a guaranteed delivery date. Slight colour variation between a screen and the actual garment is possible.

Care Instructions

Dry clean recommended, especially for silk, zari or embellished sarees. Plain cotton or georgette can be hand washed cold.
Iron on low heat on the reverse side, avoiding zari and embellishments.
Store folded in a cotton cloth, away from sunlight, and refold every few months.
