How to measure yourself

Use a soft measuring tape and wear light clothing. Keep the tape snug but not tight, and ask someone to help for the most accurate result.

Chest / bust: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape level under your arms.
Waist (drop waist): Measure just below your natural waistline, where you would like your lehenga or bottom to sit.
Hip: Stand with feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips.
Armhole: Measure around the top of your arm, from the shoulder point down under the armpit and back.
Shoulder: Measure across your back from the edge of one shoulder to the other.
Height: Measure from the top of your head to the floor while wearing the heels you plan to wear with the outfit.

Consider a blouse neckline you already find comfortable as the starting point for tailoring. From there, choose jewellery that suits the neckline rather than adding several competing elements. Earrings, a bracelet or a compact bag can each provide an accent, depending on your preference. Keeping the accessories restrained is one option for letting the pink colour and woven detailing remain the centre of your look.

Because the blouse is a fabric piece, the photograph or styling alone should not determine the final cut. Discuss your measurements and design with your tailor, including whether the supplied length is suitable. When draping the saree, test the pleats and shoulder fold together so you can judge the proportion from front and side before making your final adjustments.

Care Instructions

Dry clean recommended, especially for silk, zari or embellished sarees. Plain cotton or georgette can be hand washed cold.
Iron on low heat on the reverse side, avoiding zari and embellishments.
Store folded in a cotton cloth, away from sunlight, and refold every few months.
