How to measure yourself

Use a soft measuring tape and wear light clothing. Keep the tape snug but not tight, and ask someone to help for the most accurate result.

Chest / bust: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape level under your arms.
Waist (drop waist): Measure just below your natural waistline, where you would like your lehenga or bottom to sit.
Hip: Stand with feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips.
Armhole: Measure around the top of your arm, from the shoulder point down under the armpit and back.
Shoulder: Measure across your back from the edge of one shoulder to the other.
Height: Measure from the top of your head to the floor while wearing the heels you plan to wear with the outfit.

Small pink and turquoise floral motifs add colour across the metallic-look panel, while scattered motifs continue onto the body. The grey ground leaves space around the decoration, making the border a clear feature of the drape rather than repeating the same pattern everywhere.

For an understated arrangement, keep the blouse neckline simple and select a single focal piece of jewellery. The border can be displayed along the shoulder fold, while an open pallu shows more of the colourful floral detailing. Alternatively, a pink or turquoise accessory can draw attention to the smaller motifs. These suggestions are ways to style the included fabric pieces; jewellery and other photographed accessories are not part of the ensemble.

You receive a 5.5-metre saree and 0.80 metre of matching grey blouse fabric, both listed as organza khadi. The blouse piece is not a ready-made blouse, so plan the neckline and sleeve design with your tailor after checking the supplied length. When trying your chosen drape, adjust the pleats and shoulder placement together to judge how much of the patterned panel you want to show.

Care Instructions

Dry clean recommended, especially for silk, zari or embellished sarees. Plain cotton or georgette can be hand washed cold.
Iron on low heat on the reverse side, avoiding zari and embellishments.
Store folded in a cotton cloth, away from sunlight, and refold every few months.
